We have sent home a discussion book for each child with their named reading record in a clear reading pack. Please share this with your child and talk about the pictures and what could happen in the the story. Please sign the reading record book and share any comments for us to read. Please send the Reading Pack in each day and we will change the books on Tuesdays and Fridays.
As we begin to learn the Phase 2 sounds we will introduce books with decodable words for the children to practise reading.
Phonic Meeting

Our Phonics Meeting for parents is on Monday 21st September at 5.30pm in the Reception classroom. Please come along to hear how we teach Phonics and what you can do at home to help your child. We look forward to seeing you!
Reading
We have been encouraging the children to access books in our provision and have offered a variety of texts , including comics. We would like to create a display in our reading area that will include a photo of each child (from home) reading in an interesting pose or place! Please can you either send in a photo or send one via seesaw for us to print. Thankyou!
End of Day Routine

Children will only be allowed to go home with adults listed on the safeguarding form, unless school has been contacted to state otherwise.

Children will be dismissed one at a time. We kindly request that all children are dismissed prior to teachers/ Teaching Assistants being approached by parents.

Should any child need to come back into the classroom, we will allow them back into the room after all of the children have been dismissed.
