Class Trip

Year 1 had a fantastic day at the Fireground Museum. Have a look at our gallery to see lots of pictures!

 

Spellings

Spellings for the rest of the half term will be on Year 1 Common Exception Words. We will quiz the children on 10 random words each week to help consolidate their learning. We will also put 2 of the words into a sentence for the children to write. 

 

English

This week we have been learning about Meerkats so we can help Molly Meerkat get back home. 

Maths

This week we have been learning about quarters. 

History

We have loved learning and singing about the Great Fire of London over the past few weeks.

Reading

Please read every night with your child. This will help them with their learning throughout the curriculum

 

SHOW AND TELL

Show and Tell will continue on a Friday. If your child is bringing something to share, please practise what they are wanting to say at home. This will help build their confidence and oracy skills when speaking in front of others.
