PHONICS CHALLENGE

 

English

This week we have started reading No-Bot. Ask your child to tell you the story?

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning how to double.

Geography

Geography has been all about the changing weather. We sang a song and talked about what we liked doing in different weathers.

Art

In Art we hve started to learn about LS Lowry. We recreated an industrial scene based on his paintings.

 

Reading

Please read every night with your child. This will help them with their learning throughout the curriculum

Spellings

To help practise their weekly spellings, the children now have access to spelling frame. This is an online platform used throughout school with interactive games and spellings tests for the children to use. I am able to see how the children are performing throughout the week and there is a leader board to keep track of their points. Please click on the image below for a shortcut to Spelling Frame.

We will continue to quiz the children each Thursday.

SHOW AND TELL

Show and Tell will continue on a Friday. If your child is bringing something to share, please practise what they are wanting to say at home. This will help build their confidence and oracy skills when speaking in front of others.
