PHONICS CHALLENGE

Reading

Please read every night with your child. This will help them with their learning throughout the curriculum

Spellings

To help practise their weekly spellings, the children now have access to spelling frame. This is an online platform used throughout school with interactive games and spellings tests for the children to use. I am able to see how the children are performing throughout the week and there is a leader board to keep track of their points. Please click on the image below for a shortcut to Spelling Frame.

We will continue to quiz the children each Thursday.

Our focus this half term is tricky words. Please see our class page for the half termly overview and additional sentences.

SHOW AND TELL

Show and Tell will continue on a Friday. If your child is bringing something to share, please practise what they are wanting to say at home. This will help build their confidence and oracy skills when speaking in front of others. Please encourage the children to share things about our learning.
