Dear Parents,
The children thoroughly enjoyed their 'moving up morning' and all returned to class full of enthusiasm about joining Year 3 from September. Everyone was also very excited about having their artwork displayed in the hall. If you were unable to make a viewing, please see the gallery on our blog.

This Week in Maths: 2D and 3D Shape
The children have been learning about shapes and their properties. At the end of last week, we focused on the properties of 2D shapes. This week, we have looked closely at 3D shapes. We thought of clues for our friends to guess the shapes we were thinking of.
We have also been learning how to arrange objects in patterns and sequences, as shown below.

We have been activating our prior knowledge about the Pentecost. The children were able to complete the following activity by drawing on their knowledge from previous lessons.

Reading - Please read every night. Answer a selection of questions about the thoughts, feelings and actions of any of the characters in your reading book.

Spellings - Please find this weeks spellings below and a link to spelling frame. Our spelling quiz will be on Thursday 10th July.
Choose five or more spellings and write a sentence for each of the words. Remember to think it, say, write it and then check for full stops and capital letters.
