Homework
Reading - Reading is one of the most important skills for children to master as it unlocks their imagination and allows them to access the rest of the curriculum. Please read with your child every night. Remember to ask questions as this will improve key reading skills, such as retrieval and inference. Children should also have their school reading books in school every day so that an adult can read with them.
Spellings - Although there are no spellings to learn over Easter, SpellingFrame still has lots of useful games to play. Have a look at the Year 3/4 spelling rules and learn some of the words on there by playing the different games.

Times tables - There are no times tables to learn over easter, but times table rockstars is really helpful for keeping the times table facts in your mind so you are ready to continue with your learning when we come back to school.

Our learning this week in Year 3
English
This week in English, we have written our own versions of The Iron Man. We followed a model for the first part of our writing, then continued independently.
Maths
This week, we have been learning all about time.
Can you practise what we have learned over Easter by telling the time on both digital and analog clocks?
