Well done to all the children who have earned our weekly awards this week!
Homework
Reading - Reading is one of the most important skills for children to master as it unlocks their imagination and allows them to access the rest of the curriculum. Please read with your child every night. Remember to ask questions as this will improve key reading skills, such as retrieval and inference. Children should also have their school reading books in school every day so that an adult can read with them.
Spellings - There will not be any spellings to learn over half term, but spelling shed still has lots of games which can be used to practise Year 3 spelling rules as well as rules the children have previously learned.

Times tables - There will not be any times tables to learn over half term, but times table rock stars can still be used to practise all times tables.

Our learning this week in Year 3
English
In English this week, we have finished writing our own versions of the golden eagle and spent some time reading them to each other.
Maths
In Maths, we have been learning about decimal numbers. This has involved dividing numbers by 10 and counting on and back in tenths.
Can you work out the three decimal numbers shown in this picture and put them in order from smallest to greatest?
Geography
In Geography this week, we have looked at a current map of our local area and compared it to a map of our local area from almost 100 years ago.
Have another look at the maps and see what similarities and differences you can spot.

RE
This week, we visited Reception to share everything we have learned about Hinduism after our trip to the Hindu temple.
Have a look at our gallery to see everyone sharing their knowledge.
