A huge well done to our this weeks awards winners!

Homework

There is no homework set for the holidays; however, the children are still welcome to use Spelling Shed to practise their spelling patterns and to enjoy some reading at home.

This week, we completed our DT projects, and what a fantastic experience it was! Working in groups, the children followed their design briefs to create their own bread. They applied their maths skills brilliantly, carefully measuring and weighing each ingredient.

The children experimented with different flavours, and they were delighted with their finished products. We hope that many of you had the opportunity to sample their delicious creations at home!

History

In History this week, we completed our unit on the Industrial Revolution. The children created engaging PowerPoints and informative posters to explore how the Industrial Revolution impacted Lancashire. They showed a very strong understanding of the topic, using all the knowledge they have gathered over the unit to present their ideas clearly and confidently.

We hope you all have a lovely half term and we shall see you for our final half term of Year 5!
