Date: 26th Jun 2026 @ 10:18am
Dear Parents,
Welcome to our weekly blog where you will find out about what we have been doing in class, homework and important updates.
Awards

A huge well done to our this weeks awards winners!
Dragons Den
On Wednesday, the children presented their Dragon's Den pitches to our three Dragons. We were absolutely blown away by the effort and hard work that had gone into each and every presentation.
The children's oracy and presentation skills were incredible, and we were so impressed by the confidence they showed while sharing their ideas. Their innovative thinking, creativity, and enthusiasm shone through in every pitch.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all of our families for supporting your children and helping them to develop such fantastic ideas and presentations. Your encouragement and dedication played a huge part in making this project such a success.
As a reward for their hard work, every child who created a pitch received a small sweet treat as a well done for their hard work.
The standard of the presentations was so high that we found it incredibly difficult to choose just one winner. Therefore, we decided to recognise three winning pitches. Congratulations to all of our participants for their outstanding work—we are very proud of you all!

Homework
This week's spellings are listed below. There are activities assigned on Spelling Shed for your children to complete based on our new spellings. The children are tested weekly on a Thursday.

Reading
We ask the children to read as much as possible as there are huge benefits to this within all areas of the curriculum. Children can bring their book back into school any day and they are able to change them independently. Could you please encourage your children to read as much as possible and record this in their reading record.
TT Rockstars
Please encourage your child to access their TT Rockstars account and complete tasks and challenges on the website to practice their times tables.
This week, the children received their maths assessment scores, and we could not be prouder of each and every one of them. They have worked incredibly hard throughout the year, and their results reflect their dedication and determination. Every child has made fantastic progress, and they should all be extremely proud of what they have achieved.
Geography
This week in Geography, the children chose to create a double-page spread and fact file all about the Pleasure Beach, using the knowledge they gained during our recent trip. They used the iPads to research additional facts and presented their findings creatively in their books, including pictures and images to enhance their work.
It was fantastic to see how much the children remembered from our visit to the Pleasure Beach and how confidently they applied their learning.
A huge well done to every member of Year 5 for all of their hard work and commitment. Keep up the amazing work!
