Reading

We ask the children to read as much as possible as there are huge benefits to this within all areas of the curriculum. Children can bring their book back into school any day and they are able to change them independently.  Could you please encourage your children to read as much as possible and record this in their reading record.

TT Rockstars

Please encourage your child to access their TT Rockstars account and complete tasks and challenges on the website to practice their times tables.

Science

Our current topic in science is all about growing up, the children have looked at the different stages of the human life cycle.

If possible, please could you send in any photos of your child as a baby, toddler or young child to add to our class display, helping us to show the different stages of development. These can be emailed to the school office at:

English

In English this week we have continued our work on The boy at the back of the Class. The children have been exploring the new characters we have been introduced to and then we retold the story of the main character Ahmet. The children used a range of descriptive writing features within their work. Next week the children will write their own version of the journey Ahmet had to take.

Maths

The children have completed their learning on time. We have been so impressed with how resilient the children have been as telling the time is such a tricky skill to learn. The children then moved on to looking at timetables and had to read the time tables and answer questions about them.

RE

This week we have conitnued to explore parables, the children have been identifying what the hidden messages have been and then looking at how we use this in our every day life.
