Bulgaria is home to many caves like Devetashka Cave and Magura Cave, which contain prehistoric rock art which you can see above.
This Week in English: Exploring Persuasion 🌟✏️
This week in English, the children have been learning about persuasive techniques used in adverts! 📰✨
They discovered how adverts are different from formal persuasive writing. The class looked at various adverts to find persuasive features, such as:
- Emotive language: How does it make you feel?
- Facts: What information supports the message?
- Rhetorical questions: How do they engage the audience?
After discussing the different types of persuasive texts and their purposes, it was time for some hands-on fun! The children planned and created their own leaflets, using the techniques they had learned.
This Week in Maths: Exploring Angles!✨
This week, the children have been learning all about angles! 🧮 They have been estimating, comparing, and measuring angles, understanding them as parts of a circular number line from 0° to 360°.
🌟 What We Learned 🌟

Identifying Angle Types: They identified angles at a point (360°), on a straight line (180°), and those lovely multiples of 90°! 🎉
-
Triangles and Rectangles: The children explored rectangles, where opposite sides are equal, and isosceles triangles with their special properties—like having two equal sides and angles.
-
Learning New Facts: Using their knowledge of right angles and straight lines, they discovered new facts about angles!
