This week the children performed their extracts from Martin Luther King's infamous 'I have a dream' speech. Each performance was recorded and the children gave one another feedback. They were superb! After finishing our class book 'Once' written by Morris Gleitzman, we learnt about the life of Harry Winston, a man who helped to save the lives of over 600 Jewish children. We used this knowledge to write a biography of this inspiring figure.

After consolidating our learning about adding and subtracting different types of fractions, we have moved onto multiplying fractions.

This week, we began our new topic about 'How Christians prepare for Christmas'. We have activated our prior learning from previous years about advent and Christmas. We looked at the advent wreath and went outside to make some organic ones.
Science
This week we consolidated our learning from this topic and completed our check-out task and quiz. The children have shown great knowledge of the circulation system as well as the impact of a healthy lifestyle.
Wishing you a lovely weekend,
The Year 6 team
